Frequently Asked Questions

How does crypto DCA work?

Dollar-cost averaging means buying a fixed dollar amount at regular intervals regardless of price. You buy more coins when prices are low and fewer when high — averaging out your cost over time. This calculator uses real historical prices from Kraken to show your actual returns.

Which crypto exchange has the lowest fees?

Hyperliquid has the lowest futures fees (-0.01% maker rebate). For spot, Bybit and OKX charge just 0.08–0.10%. Coinbase charges the most at 0.40–0.60% taker. Switching from Coinbase to Bybit can save hundreds per month on active trading volume.

Is crypto tax-free in Germany?

Yes — under §23 EStG, crypto held for more than 1 year is completely tax-free in Germany. If sold within 1 year, gains are taxed at 25% (Abgeltungssteuer) plus 5.5% solidarity surcharge. This is one of the most favorable crypto tax rules in Europe.

Is there crypto capital gains tax in Singapore or UAE?

Neither Singapore nor the UAE charge capital gains tax on crypto. Singapore has no CGT at all. The UAE has no personal income tax. Both are among the most crypto-friendly jurisdictions globally for individual investors.

How much tax do I pay on crypto in India?

India taxes all cryptocurrency gains at a flat 30% regardless of holding period, plus a 4% Health and Education Cess — giving an effective rate of 31.2%. Losses cannot be offset against other income, and the rules apply to all VDAs (Virtual Digital Assets) as of April 2022.

How do I calculate crypto position size?

Position size = (Account × Risk%) ÷ Stop distance%. Example: $10,000 account, 2% risk, entry $100,000, stop $95,000 → Stop distance = 5% → Position = $200 ÷ 5% = $4,000. Never risk more than 1–2% per trade to survive a losing streak.
